AI commands, Quick Fix and agents

Run a prompt on the text you selected, fix typos with a double-tap, or keep saved personalities.

AI commands

Select text in any app, open Beam and search commands. They need Accessibility to read your selection. Output can Replace Selection (you review a card first: ↵ applies, Esc cancels, ⌘Z undoes) or Show in Window.

Write your own with {selection} in the prompt. Each command can have its own global hotkey.

Quick Fix

Select text and double-tap Right Shift (within 0.4 seconds). Beam runs Fix Spelling and Grammar and shows the change for you to approve. You can also give it a hotkey. It is on by default when AI is on.

Agents

An agent is a saved personality: instructions, an icon, a subset of tools and optionally its own model, with its own hotkey. Beam ships two:
